Genre veteran actor Bill McKinney, has been tapped for a bit part in the upcoming vampire-reimagining of the Robin Hood tale, "Sherwood Horror"...we learned this afternoon. He will play a modern-day version of "Richard The Lionheart" in the film which is due for release in 2011. Director John Regan, commented on McKinney's addition to the cast by stating..."Everyone agrees that having Bill McKinney aboard will kick the film off right."  Watkins to helm "The Woman In Black"

Filmmaker James Watkins (Eden Lake), has been tapped to direct the "Woman In Black" film adaptation for Hammer Films, according to Variety. Hammer recently officially nailed down the feature film rights to the Susan Hill novel where a young solicitor named Arthur Kipps, is summoned to Crythin to attend to the funeral of Mrs Alice Drablow, an elderly widow who lived alone in the desolate and secluded Eel Marsh House. While he's there, he discovers a menacing spectre haunts the small, British-seaside, English town. Jane Goldman penned the screenplay, and the movie is due for release next year.

 Beckinsale out of "Underworld 4"? Wiseman helming

The latest news to come out on Sony Screen Gems "Underworld 4 3D" has Variety reporting that Len Wiseman will be returning to the director's chair for the film, which is currently set for a January 21st 2011 release date. As for Kate Beckinsale coming back, well BD revealed recently that she's not too thrilled about doing another one of these werewolf versus vampire films, and is in fact looking for a way to get her role drastically minimized in the new movie.

A new supernatural horror pic is coming our way we learned this morning, and it's coming from filmmaker Ryan M. Andrews. "Black Eve" is the name of the picture, and it follows a woman with psychic abilities, who retraces the last steps of her fellow guests at a Halloween party, in a closed down department store, who all turn up dead by morning. Fusion Films Entertainment is behind the production, which was shot over a 6 day span as recently as last month into early February. Pictured below is a first ever still from the movie, which is due out sometime next year.

 "Child's Play" Redux Begins Production!

Production has reportedly begun on "Child's Play" redux, according to Horrorbid. The redo, set for a 2011 release -- is indeed a remake of the 80's killer-doll pic which launched the well-known "Child's Play" series, and the career of horror icon Chucky, which stretched over 2 decades from the 80's, into the 2000's with "Seed Of Chucky" being the most recently-released sequel. A quote from Don Mancini, who penned, and is helming the remake, says the following in regards to it..."It's a remake, but there are a lot of new things in it. Looks like 2010 is gonna be the year of the animated zombie picture. With "Night Of The Living Dead:Origins" still waiting in the wings, now...we've learned of a new animated zombie film which is being described as a possible zombie-epic, on the way.  Lakeshore acquires "I Frankenstein"

Lakeshore Entertainment has officially acquired the script for the graphic novel adaptation film "I Frankenstein", Screendaily reports this morning. Project was sheparded to Lakeshore by Kevin Grevioux and Robert Sanchez, and is based on Grevioux's upcoming graphic novel of the same name, from Darkstorm Studios. Patrick Tatopoulos will direct the film, which is set in a contemporary film noir setting where Frankenstein has learned how to control his anger and now acts as a private investigator. Dracula, meanwhile, is a kingpin of crime, and the Invisible Man is a secret operative. Pic will start production in July, and Grevioux penned the screenplay. Below are a few compounded clips from the upcoming 13th episode of "Supernatural"s new season which is entitled "The Song Remains The Same". "Supernatural" airs on the CW every Thursday night at 9pm/8 central. In episode 13, "Song" -- the angels send Anna (Julie McNiven) back in time to kill John (Matthew Cohen) and Mary (Amy Gumenick) Winchester before they can conceive Sam (Jared Padalecki) knowing that if Sam was never born then Lucifer won't be able to use him as his vessel. Castiel (Misha Collins) sends Sam and Dean (Jensen Ackles) back to 1978 so they can stop Anna, and the two brothers are reunited with their parents. Mary recognizes Dean as a hunter since he visited her in the past once before but tries to keep the truth from John.

The UK horror pic "Heartless" will reportedly receive a multi-platform release after it's May 21st theatrical release in the UK, according to Screendaily. On the 24th of May, the film, via Lionsgate UK, will be released to DVD, Blu-ray DVD, VOD (Video On Demand), and as a digital download...simultaneously.
