Pictured below is a brand new character poster which we were handed this evening from the upcoming horror pic "All About Evil", which stars Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Dekker, Noah Segan, Mary Woronov, Cassandra Peterson, Mink Stole, Peaches Christ, Patrick Bristow, Jack Donner, and Julie-Caitlin Brown. Directed by Joshua Grannell, "AAE" follows a mousy librarian who inherits her father's beloved old movie house, and discovers her inner serial killer -- and a legion of rabid gore fans -- when she starts turning out a series of grisly shorts. What her fans don't realize yet however is that the murders in the movies are all too real.

We learned this evening that Joey Stewart's slasher-revenge flick "The Final", has become the next title to be added to After Dark Films Horrorfest '10! "The Final" joins "Scream Of The Banshee", "Skjult (Hidden)", "Dread", "The Graves", "Lake Mungo", and "ZMD:Zombies Of Mass Destruction" at Horrorfest 4, which will run from January 29th through February 4th. Only one more slot for "8 New Films To Die For" remains open ladies and gents! "The Final" stars Marc Donato, Jascha Washington, Whitney Hoy, Justin Arnold, Travis Tedford, Julin, and Lindsay Seidel. The film is set in the scenic and remote county of Rocky Branch, Texas, where the Workley ranch house would become the infamous scene known internationally on the internet as "The Final."

Could an "Exorcist" miniseries be in the works? "The Exorcist" author William Peter Blatty, chatted recently with Cemetery Dance about the original film which was based on the book, and gave the following reply..."Yes and no. I would love to have been able to include the subplot involving Karl and his daughter Elvira which I did in my first draft, but that script ran to 172 pages, much, much too long. But I might have it my way in the near future, inasmuch as I've written an Exorcist miniseries script that not only faithfully includes all the main elements of the novel, but also some rather spooky new material and scenes, as well as a totally new (and perhaps much more satisfying) ending. Pictured below, are four character posters which we were given this morning from Greg Lamberson's upcoming horror sequel "Slime City Massacre", which stars Angelina Leigh (pictured), along with Lee Perkins, Debbie Rochon, Jennifer Bihl, Robert C. Sabin, Tommy Sweeney, Kealan Patrick Burke, Mary Bogle, John Renna, and Michael O'Hear. In the film, which is due out next year, in the wake of a "dirty bomb" attack, a New York City neighborhood known as "Slime City" has been evacuated, except for the homeless ("displaced refugees"). The nazi-zombie pic "Dead Snow" (Review), will hit home disc and BLU-RAY home disc on the 23rd of February we learned this morning via Video ETA. No extras or art are available to speak of as of yet, but should be soon. "Dead Snow" stars Stig Frode Henriksen, Vegar Hoel, Charlotte Frogner, Evy Kasseth Rasten, Bjorn Sundquist, and Jenny Skavlan. In the movie, a ski vacation turns horrific for a group of medical students, as they find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies. |

Controversial indie filmmaker Nick Palumbo is back with a new genre film we learned this morning. The pic is called "Corpse", and along with directing the movie, Palumbo also wrote and will produce it. A graphic new modern-day spin on the age old tale "Poe" is coming we learned this morning. A poster for the film is pictured below, and in "Poe", brilliant and wealthy Dr. Andrew Casey (Chuy Bravo) is a serial killer who goes by the name "The Chef". One night eleven years ago his wife found out. He was arrested and imprisoned at Marathon County Asylum for the criminally insane. Eleven years pass and he is released, completely rehabilitated, and moves to Los Angeles under the alias Mr. Jack Conway. Yuppie and former teacher Johnathon Poe, a descendant of the famed writer Edgar Allan Poe and a brilliant writer in his own right, is about to form a bond with "The Chef" as the great doctor begins his spree of killings and cannibalism again.

We got the goods this morning on a new indie horror pic coming our way from Loft Films entitled "Slaughtered". "Slaughtered" is described as an independent horror film that combines love, horror and gore in a slasher style narrative. The story follows a masked killer who stalks an isolated pub in a small town known as Sutton Forest. The body count rises as night falls, slowly eliminating who the killer might be and leaving the remaining few to fight to stay alive. We learned this morning that Brain Damage Films will send Andrew Merkelbach's zombie sequel to "Dead Country", entitled "Deader Country", to home disc on the 1st of December. The DVD will not contain any extras that we know of, and DVD art is pictured below. "Deader Country" stars Ted V. Mikels, Rob Kellum, and Ben Trebilcook. In the film, which is from the director and star of Dead Country, comes the next tale of terror! Whilst wagging school, two teenage boys stumble across a strange hybrid creature, a beast that is half man, half alien and ALL zombie, which has managed to make its way unseen across desolate countryside to the town of Pleasance. This morning, a new "Dante's Inferno" developer's dairy popped up online! "Dante's Inferno" is a new horror game coming next year from EA (Electronic Arts). The latest developer's dairy takes a look at "Heresy", and you can give it a watch below! "Dante's Inferno" will be released exclusively in 2010 to the Playstation 3 and X-BOX 360 consoles. The game follows the title character Dante, as he journey's through the 9 circles of Hell which include -- limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud, and treachery. All of this in a quest to find his true love, Beatrice.

We got dropped a line this morning on a new Italian horror film in the chute called "Hidden 3-D", which was penned by Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni and Mariano Baino, and will also be directed by Baino. Cataldi-Tassoni will also star in the movie which is currently under wraps, as far as plot details go. But rumors are already swirling that it might be a remake of the American sci-fi/horror classic "The Hidden". I kind of doubt that though. Andrea Marotti is producing the pic, and we'll have more on this story as we hear it!

Pictured below is a first ever still which we were given this morning from the upcoming Steven C. Miller horror flick "Scream Of The Banshee", which stars Lance Henriksen and Lauren Holly. The After Dark Films production, penned by Anthony C. Ferrante, is currently shooting in Louisiana. The film will also join "Skjult (Hidden)", "Dread", "The Graves", "Lake Mungo", and "ZMD:Zombies Of Mass Destruction", at After Dark's Horrorfest 4, which kicks off January 29th 2010, and runs through February 4th. Only two more slots are left open for Horrorfest 4, who will get them I wonder?
